Funko, one of the biggest companies in pop culture merchandising, is honoring doctors and nurses with vinyl figures.
Healthcare workers on the frontlines of COVID-19 are rightfully being honored as heroes around the world.
Announced on Friday, the latest figures in the Funko Pop Heroes collection are hospital workers. While they usually make figures of comic book heroes, the company decided to celebrate real life heroes.
“In honor of the first responders on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, Funko is excited to announce the new line of Pop! Heroes to commemorate the nurses and doctors who are giving their all to help treat patients,” the company said.
Funko donated a portion to the 501c U.S. non-profit GlobalGiving, which gives nonprofits access to donors and companies around the world in order to provide them with the tools they need.
These Pops are just $10.99 each, and available to pre-order now. They are expected to ship in October 2020.
