The Disney Animators’ Collection has added two brand new dolls. This time they’ve finally included villains!

Ursula and Maleficent are the first villains you can purchase from the Disney Animators’ Collection.

For those of you who don’t know what Disney Animators’ are, they are childlike versions of Disney characters.

The first batch of dolls launched between 2011 and 2012.

At that time, they had Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Tiana, Rapunzel and Merida.

The following year they expanded by recreating new versions of those characters, and adding Elsa and Anna.

After that, they added more characters like Aladdin, Tinkerbell, Kristoff and Lilo.

Now, fast forward to 2019 and in comes Ursula and Maleficent.

Both of these dolls were actually added in a timely manner. You see, The Little Mermaid is celebrating it’s 30th Anniversary this year, and Sleeping Beauty is celebrating it’s 60th Anniversary. Plus, Maleficent’s second movie, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is out this weekend.

These villainous babies are Special Edition and are little more expensive than the rest. Normally, these dolls go for $29.95 but these girls are $59.95.

Details Worth Noting on the New Disney Animators

This adorable little mistress of evil stays true to her green complexion. However, instead of having horns, she has two “space buns” in place of them.

I personally love this.

Because even though she’s Maleficent, the buns keep her loyal to what the Disney Animators’ collection is all about–a childish rendition of characters.

Her outfit is of velvet, satin and tulle and includes a cape. She also comes with a light-up staff that glows green.

This precious sea witch is fabulous. I wouldn’t even mind if she conned me into stealing my voice.

Ursula’s bright white hair and little beauty mark is definitely in tune with her bad girl persona. It’s as if she was born for this evil gig.

Her tentacles are plush and bedazzled with purple and black reversible sequins.

She’s wearing a sassy metallic top with winged sleeves and lace overlay. It’s only right for her to rock a seashell choker that glows yellow.
