**UPDATE: Lady Gaga addresses being “in love” with Bradley Cooper on Jimmy Kimmel Live***

After witnessing their electric on-screen chemistry, anyone who has seen “A Star Is Born” will probably tell you they’re convinced Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are in love in real life.

How can they not be? How can you film a beautifully tragic love story and not fall in love while working together?

Well, believe it or not, that’s their job. But I’ll admit, I was one of those people guilty of feeling this way.

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s chemistry clicked when they first met. She was his first choice for this movie, and when they finally met, he knew she was the one he needed to make this film successful.

He wasn’t wrong.

Both of them have praised each other tremendously in interviews together and separately.

They both tell the story of when they first met.

“She came down the stairs and went out to her patio and I saw her eyes, and honestly, it clicked and I went, wow,'” Cooper told Vogue in October 2018.

“The second that I saw him, I was like, ‘Have I known you my whole life?’ It was an instant connection, instant understanding of one another,” Gaga told Vogue.

Because they both showed nothing but love for one another throughout the “A Star Is Born” era, this was the perfect evidence the audience needed to back-up their real-life romance theory.

Gaga and Cooper applied their authentic connection to the love story of Jackson and Ally Maine.

I’m no actress, I’ve never directed a film in my life, nor have worked on the set of a movie. But, I’m sure part of filming a critically acclaimed movie includes a genuine connection between the stars of the film.

What we all need to remember, myself included, is that both of them are professional actors. And as an obsessive Lady Gaga fan, I can tell you that she takes her craft very seriously.

She is someone who puts 100% of her soul into whatever project she’s working on–including that live performance of “Shallow” at the Oscars on Sunday night.

Bradley Cooper puts his heart and soul into his work too. For this movie he had a specific vision he wanted to achieve, and he got exactly what he wanted.

Not only was “A Star Is Born” his directorial debut, he starred in it, lowered his voice to capture Jackson’s accent. He learned to sing, play guitar, and all of their singing performances were live.

“I believed in her as an actress, and she believed in me as a musician,” Cooper told W magazine.

Everyone watching, including us Little Monsters, were captivated by Gaga and Bradley’s performance at the Oscars.

The way they looked at each other, held each other, and sang to each other, made us feel like there was something more there than them just being co-stars.

All while Bradley Cooper’s girlfriend and mother of his child sitting right there.

I think part of the reason this performance sparked a frenzy is because it was how we wanted the movie to end.

It was like the “what could have been” scene if Jackson Maine didn’t take his life.

The day before the Oscars, Lady Gaga told E! News that Bradley offered her words of encouragement. ‘Let’s drop a little bit of joy,’ he said.

Lady Gaga acknowledged that joy after they received a standing ovation for their performance.

The narrative of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper being an off-screen couple began in the Little Monster community. We all made jokes and memes about how in love they are, especially after the Oscars.

Snippets of interviews were passed around via Twitter of both Bradley and Gaga admiring each other during the press tour.

People outside the fandom began to wish that Gaga and Cooper were together in real life too.

Especially after the surprise performance of “Shallow” at Lady Gaga’s Vegas Show, Enigma back in January.

This whole thing blew up even more after their Oscar performance. Even other celebrities began to question if their love was real or just professional.

Tiffany Haddish thought their chemistry was hot.

And David Spade asked if there’s a chance they’re not f*cking.

The news of Lady Gaga splitting from her fiance, Christian Carino, also fueled the fire. People wondered if Bradley and Irina Shayk were next.

But, as juicy as an on-screen relationship becoming a reality is, we have to respect and accept the fact that they are both extremely talented actors and great at their jobs.

They know how to tell stories that makes us feel like their fictional love story is a reality, just like actors are supposed to. I mean, hello, they were both nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress all award season!

We also have to respect that Bradley and Irina are together and they have a child. This real life romance hype can affect their lives and damage their reputations if rumors are created based off this.

Just appreciate the work and recognize that they are talented enough to make you feel exactly what they are portraying.
