The 90s sketch-comedy show All That is making a comeback and Kenan Thompson is the executive producer!
Add that to the list of 90s shows Nickelodeon is trying to revive. Double Dare was the latest reboot in 2018.
On Thursday, Variety reported the news for the comeback, adding that the show will have a brand new cast of teens, with “callbacks to its past as well.”
Why is this so exciting?
Well, to start off, while our parents had SNL and MadTVto enjoy, us kids had All That. It was a show of sketch-comedy and weekly musical guests targeting kids in the 90s and early 2000s.
Not to mention, Kenan Thompson, an All That alum who achieved his early stardom on the show, is now the executive producer.
Kenan Thompson told Variety that he will be working on both SNL and All That. “If I’m not at the table read, I’ll be on the phone during the table read,’ he said. “I’ll be around.”
After a decade of success, All That inspired spin-offs including Kenan & Kel, The Amanda Show, Kablam, The Nick Cannon Show and Zoey 101.
“We think there’s a great opportunity to find the next pool of stars,” Brian Robbins, president of Nickelodeon and co-creator for the original “All That” said.
All That lasted 10 seasons so hopefully we can reach 10 more!
